Preventing Panic & Pain

In the last few weeks we have taken many calls and emails from concerned vendors about what is happening in the market. Yes the softening in sales numbers and $$$ that we are seeing has come about way faster and harder than anyone predicted however going into a state of panic will only exacerbate the situation.

In our time in real estate here on the Shore (myself since 1999 and Lucy since 2014), we have seen many slowdowns, dips, realignments, plateaus etc and encountered many new rules and regulations from Council, banks, IRD, government etc…call them what you will. We successfully dealt with the GFC and recently dreaded Covid19! Matters beyond our borders such as inflation, military conflicts, tourism, supply chain issues, overseas students and Kiwis coming or going on OEs all add to the current mix.

One thing however that has always been a very important constant for vendors is when you come to sell, ensure you hire local, experienced, knowledgeable agents that buyers will like and trust. We need to make their uncomfortable decision comfortable. By doing that we will protect the value of your property. Entrusting your biggest asset to inexperienced agents who are probably already in a state of panic in their micro real estate world is a recipe for disaster. Lucy and I have been there, done that. Let’s do it for you!
